PE and Sport Premium:

What is PE and Sports Funding?

In 2013, the government allocated this funding to primary school headteachers. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.

At Bourton Primary we use the funding to help support and improve five key indicators on the PE and support provision we provide.

PE and Sport Funding Report:

Every year we must complete a report that advises the ways in which the school will allocate their funding. The PE and Sports Premium report must be published to our school website and can be found by following the link below.

The Five Key Indicators:

  1. Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport;
  2. The engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity;
  3. The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement;
  4. Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils;
  5. Increased participation in competitive sport.
